The FASD Respect Act was introduced in the Senate on June 1, 2023, and the House of Representatives shortly after on June 9, 2023. At that time, Sen. Lisa Murkowski [R-AK], the original author of S. 1800, was joined by three original co-sponsors in the Senate: Sen. Amy Klobuchar [D-MN], Sen. Jerry Moran [R-KS], and Sen. Angus S. King, Jr [I-ME]. Rep. Don Bacon [R-NE-2] was responsible for introducing H.R. 3946 in the House, with original co-sponsor Rep. Betty McCollum [D-MN-4].

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Sen. Debbie Stabenow [D-MI] and Rep. Sharice Davids [D-KS-3] have signed in support of the FASD Respect Act. Both Sen. Stabenow and Rep. Davids supported the FASD Respect Act in the 117th Congress, and we are elated that they are once again joining the cause.

There are now five members of the Senate supporting S. 1800 and three members of the House of Representatives supporting H.R. 3946. In the 117th Congress, The FASD Respect Act finished with the support of 75 Representatives and 11 Senators, including the original authors.

Thank you for your continued advocacy efforts, and if you need assistance getting YOUR Representative or Senator on board, please send them the list below and ask them to join! This list of Co-Sponsors can also be found here.
