Since it’s launch in November 2021, The Stars for Starla Youth Recognition program has sent out over 200 youth awards around the globe. Funding for this groundbreaking program is created through the sale of holiday ornaments. In 2022, we hope to feature the artwork of a person with FASD on the 2022 version of the ornament. The theme for the artwork, is “Shine Like the Star You Are!” and we are asking for artwork submissions of Stars that represent the strengths and talents of the artist. The winning selection will be announced on September 9th and featured on the 2022 ornament. The artist will be sent 5 ornaments for distribution to their family and friends valued at $100.00.
How can you submit artwork? We’ve provided a template to use if it’s helpful or you can use your own paper/canvas. Electronic Art, coloring, drawing, painting, it doesn’t matter as long as we can get a clear photo or scan of it for use on the ornament. If you are taking a photo of the artwork to send, please try and get the clearest photo possible without shadows.
