You are not meant to do this alone.
Advocacy works best as a community, not a solo effort. There are others out there who understand what it is like to educate a provider on FASD or spend all night looking at research. If you are new to this, or returning after some time away, the simplest way in is to meet other advocates doing the work.
That is what our Weekly Drop-In (Every Wednesday except last of the month from 12:00pm Eastern to 1:00pm Eastern) is for. It is an open, low-pressure space to meet other advocates, ask questions, and see how this community supports one another. You will find parents, self-advocates, professionals, and allies who understand FASD from the inside and are glad to welcome someone new. You do not need any experience or expertise to join. You just need to show up.
This matters for the work ahead. The voice that will Fund FASD is not one person speaking alone, but is many people connected and saying the same thing at the same time.
