There has been a consistent flow of support for S.1800/HR. 3946 The FASD Respect Act coming in from organizations across the country since June. This is primarily due to the diligence and persistence of advocates like yourself who recognize the need to spread awareness and ensure that all aspects of society are FASD informed. The most recent supporters come to us from Texas: The IDD Council of Tarrant County and Lakeway Taekwondo. Neither of these organizations endorsed The Respect Act during the 117th Congress. This brings the number of organizations endorsing The FASD Respect Act in Texas to thirty-seven, whereas there were only nine during the entirety of the 117th Congress.
So far, this piece of legislation has the support of 178 organizations across the country, compared to the 288 supporters it amassed during the 117th Congress. With that said, it took eighteen months to reach 288 endorsers, while after just four months S.1800/HR. 3946 has reached 178. Thank you to both the advocates who have reached out to businesses and the organizations who have supported The FASD Respect Act!
