We are happy to announce two more Congresspeople have co-sponsored HR. 3946, The FASD Respect Act as of October 6th! Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez [D-NM-3] and Rep. Julia Brownley [D-CA-26] are the latest co-sponsors bringing the total to thirty-six! Rep. Leger Fernandez did not co-sponsor during the 117th Congress, while Rep. Brownley co-sponsored in March of 2022.
The political situation in Washington is currently more complicated than usual, but that does not mean advocacy for the FASD community needs to stop. We are reaching out to legislators who co-sponsored in the 117th Congress but have not yet co-sponsored during this legislative session.
