As the end of July approaches, we are happy to announce five more Co-Sponsors for HR 3946, The FASD Respect Act! Rep. Joe Neguse [D-CO-2], Rep. Marc Veasey [D-TX-33], Rep. Doris Matsui [D-CA-7], Rep. Jamie Raskin [D-MD-8], and Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester[D-DE-At Large] all officially co-sponsored HR. 3946 on July 25th.
Rep. Neguse did not co-sponsor the FASD Respect Act in 117th Congress, while the rest of the Congresspeople listed above did previously co-sponsor. Advocates from Colorado facilitated and led a meeting with Rep. Neguse’s office earlier this month, leading to his support.
As always, we are appreciative of the elected officials who co-sponsor this crucial piece of legislation, affirming their belief that the needs of the FASD community must be met.
