Hill Day showed us that FASD is getting more attention in Congress, and that consistent advocacy is what turns attention into action. At this Wednesday’s Policy Forum, we’ll take a quick look back and then focus on what comes next.

Everyone can make a difference, and this Wednesday we will show you exactly how to do that now and in the coming months. There are a few simple steps every advocate can take now to extend their impact and make sure legislators are prepared to Fund FASD when the Fiscal Year 2028 appropriations process starts in a few short months. You can start today by contacting your Representative and both Senators asking for two things:

  1. To be connected with the staff member in the office who handles appropriations or appropriations requests;
  2. To be sent the appropriations request form or link when it opens around February or March of 2027.

We will also discuss the impact this community had at Hill Day on September 29th and how we can make sure those meetings turn into relationships.

Not sure what appropriations are, how these requests work, or how to contact your legislator? We will cover these topics this Wednesday, October 28, at 2:00 pm ET at our Monthly Policy Forum.
