Advocate Where it Counts

Check out the tables below to see a listing of the United States Congress Members in your state. The tables list Member’s Committee assignments, key subcommittees, and if they cosponsored the FASD Respect Act in previous sessions.

The FASD Respect Act Passed. Now What?

Your advocacy helped pass the FASD Respect Act in December 2025. Now, your advocacy can make sure its programs and supports are funded and are able to make it into your communities. Educating legislators on the complexities of FASD is still a vital part of this advocacy, only now instead of asking to Pass the Respect Act, we are asking to Fund FASD.

Get started by:

  1. Contacting your two Senators. You can do this through their website (click their name on the table), or you can email [email protected] for help finding a contact. Ask them for an online (Zoom) meeting to discuss Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and how the recently enacted FASD Respect Act language can benefit your state.
  2. Find your Congressional Representative in the House (click here if you do not know who your Representative is) and ask them for an online (Zoom) meeting to discuss Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and how the recently enacted FASD Respect Act language can benefit your district.
  3. Email or Call FASD United Policy Coordinator Chris Melfi to prepare for your meeting. We are happy to run through a practice meeting, join your meeting, or provide any other support you may need.
